Umar Ishaque, M.P.H., O.D.

Dr. Umar Ishaque is the visionary behind Commerce Family Eyecare. He began his academic journey at McGill University in Montreal, Quebec, where he majored in Physiology, and later earned a Master’s in Public Health from Tulane University in New Orleans, LA. He then pursued his optometric education at Indiana University School of Optometry, with a focus on ocular disease. After graduating, Dr. Ishaque relocated to Georgia and founded Commerce Family Eyecare. He is an active member of the American Optometric Association and the Georgia Optometric Association, where he serves on the Corporate Committee. Dr. Ishaque is deeply committed to providing exceptional eye care and believes in offering every patient the best possible experience. Fluent in Urdu, Hindi, Punjabi, and French, he enjoys traveling, camping, volunteering with the Boy Scouts of America, watching movies, and most importantly, spending quality time with his family.
