LASIK & Refractive Surgery Co-Management in Commerce, GA
Thinking About LASIK? Let’s Start with a Straight Answer
If you’re ready to take a break from glasses or contact lenses, you’ve probably looked into LASIK or other types of vision correction surgery. What most ads won’t tell you? LASIK isn’t right for everyone and there are several surgical options available, depending on your prescription, eye health, and lifestyle.
We offer pre- and post-operative co-management for LASIK and other refractive procedures. That means we help determine whether you’re a suitable candidate, connect you with trusted surgical partners, and then support your follow-up eye care right here in our office, with a team you already know.
Our Refractive Surgery Co-Management PRocess
We don’t perform surgery in-house, and we don’t push procedures that aren’t a good fit. What we do is:
- Provide a detailed evaluation of your eye health and refractive stability.
- Explain the risks, benefits, and alternatives clearly.
- Refer you to a surgical center we trust (likely in Athens or metro Atlanta).
- Provide pre-operative measurements and instructions.
- Offer post-operative follow-up care and long-term monitoring.
Whether you go through with surgery or decide to wait, we’re here for the long haul—no pressure, no sales pitch.
Types of Vision Correction Surgery We Co-Manage
We work with surgical centers that perform:
LASIK: Laser reshaping of the cornea for rapid visual recovery.
PRK: A surface laser treatment for patients with thinner corneas.
SMILE® or other alternatives: For patients not eligible for LASIK.
Refractive lens exchange (RLE): For patients with aging eyes or early cataracts.
Post-operative cataract care: Follow-up visits, healing checks, and long-term vision support after surgery.
During your consultation, we’ll explain the differences and help you choose what’s most realistic and safe based on your vision goals.
