Medical & Surgical Eye Care
Medical & Surgical Eye Care in Commerce, GA
Commerce Family Eyecare provides long-term support for patients navigating conditions that require more than a prescription update. This includes monitoring, treatment, and coordination for diseases like glaucoma, macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, and cataracts.
With in-office diagnostics and local surgical co-management, patients throughout Commerce, Jefferson, Maysville, and Nicholson have access to continuity of care without driving to metro clinics. The practice also provides medical eye care for post-surgical patients and individuals with vision changes related to systemic health conditions.
Surgical Co-Management & Follow-Up Care
For patients preparing for cataract surgery or vision correction procedures such as LASIK or refractive lens exchange (RLE), our clinic provides pre-operative evaluation, post-operative follow-up, and long-term monitoring.
We collaborate with Georgia Eye Clinic and other ophthalmology partners. Cataract consultations occur on-site once a month, reducing travel time and ensuring seamless continuity of care.
In-House Diagnostic Imaging & Disease Monitoring
Commerce Family Eyecare uses high-resolution diagnostic tools typically found in large-scale ophthalmology clinics:
Zeiss OCT for glaucoma, AMD, and diabetic retinopathy.
Optomap® widefield imaging for non-dilated retinal screening.
Topcon keratometry and autorefraction for surgical planning and disease progression.
Corneal topography for keratoconus diagnosis and Ortho-K planning.
Arunalight support as part of AMD care.
All results are reviewed during the visit using clear, accessible language and ongoing tracking plans.
